Dunnes Stores dates Ben Dunne’s first shop in Cork to 31 March 1944 and its expansion into Spain to the 1980s. This corrects the previous article’s claim that it arrived in 2017. The company operates in fashion, homeware and food, but that overall description does not establish an identical range in every store.
