When looking for a wedding planner in Valencia, start with one question: do you need to build the event from scratch or hand over a wedding you have already arranged? The answer changes the work, preparation time and fee. Wedding-day coordination still needs preparation; it is not simply arriving before the guests.
Bodas de Azul’s service options
On its official services page, Bodas de Azul separates full planning, coordination and design or decoration. It states that coordination begins eight weeks before the wedding. That is the provider’s published approach, not an industry-wide rule; confirm the schedule and availability for your own date.
Make the handover manageable
If suppliers are already booked, gather the documents before requesting coordination. An old estimate may omit the latest menu or timing change. Use one shared folder and a current version of each decision, with access limited to those who need it.
- Supplier contracts, outstanding payments and contact people.
- Addresses, access times and setup requirements.
- A seating plan and guest count agreed with the venue.
- Accessibility and dietary needs shared discreetly.
- A running order for the ceremony, transfers, meal and dancing, with time allowances.
- Open decisions and the person authorised to resolve them.
Valencia city versus an out-of-town venue
If you choose a countryside venue or another municipality, plan the whole guest journey. Distance from central Valencia is only one factor: pickup locations, coach access and return departures matter too. Ask for arrangements that let some guests leave before the final transfer if needed.
Visit the covered alternative and ask about capacity in the layout you will use. An empty room and the same room with tables, a dance floor and audiovisual equipment can work very differently.
Put decision-making in writing
Establish who can approve extra spending, how changes are recorded and what happens if the coordinator has to be replaced. Request the hours and staffing included. Planning fees should be separate from the supplier budget; an assumed annual salary for the profession does not tell you what your wedding will cost.
Does styling include planning?
