Before considering a cryptoasset platform, establish which company would provide your service and under what authorisation. The original Spanish article described Binance as unquestionably reliable and secure without a verifiable assessment. Those assurances have been withdrawn.
Check the entity and the permitted service
The CNMV explains MiCA and the end of Spain’s transitional period on 1 July 2026. Authorisation concerns the legal entity you contract with; a shared brand does not automatically extend it to every company in a group.
Compare the contract’s legal name and services with the provider registers. This review does not establish current MiCA authorisation for the particular entity through which a reader might use Binance.
A regulatory announcement is not a licence
In its 24 June 2026 announcement, Binance said it had withdrawn its Greek application and intended to seek authorisation in another EU member state. It also said the consequences could depend on the user’s country and account.
That is a dated statement, not evidence of subsequent authorisation or present availability. An old feature list cannot establish that futures, margin trading, deposits or conversions are currently available to everyone in Spain.
Account security and investment risk are different
Binance’s own risk warning describes volatility, possible total loss, liquidity problems and service interruptions. It also states that cryptoassets are not covered by Spain’s deposit or investor guarantee funds.
Keeping a password secure cannot prevent a market price from falling. A private fund advertised by a company should not be presented as universal statutory protection either. The earlier article’s implied safety guarantee has been removed.
Questions that need clear answers
- Which entity and terms apply to my country?
- What would buying, converting, withdrawing or closing a position cost?
- What withdrawal limits and processing times apply?
- How would I reach official support if something went wrong?
This is not a trading strategy or a recommendation to replace essential savings with cryptoassets. Understanding a product and its potential losses matters more than knowing how to navigate its interface.
