Choosing a Škoda Enyaq starts with a practical question: how would you charge it during a normal week? Advertised range matters, but so do parking, your usual journeys and the time available for charging. Work those out before comparing trim levels.
Identify the version in your quote
Request the model year, battery, drivetrain, trim and included equipment. Save the specification for that exact reference. One range figure or an image of an earlier vehicle does not describe the whole current range.
Škoda’s Spanish website notes that equipment and availability can vary. A feature shown in a general brand presentation should therefore appear explicitly in your quote if it matters to your decision.
WLTP is a comparison, not a promised journey
Škoda publishes homologated WLTP figures and explains that temperature, traffic, tyres, load and driving affect consumption. Use the figure for your chosen version as a comparison point, with a margin for actual conditions.
Think through three scenarios: routine trips, a weekend with luggage and a longer journey in less favourable weather. You do not need to predict every kilometre, but you should know where you could charge and what alternative you would have if a charger were occupied.
Plan charging at home and on the road
- Ask an installer about the feasibility and complete cost of a charge point at your parking space.
- Distinguish AC charging from rapid DC charging when comparing specifications.
- Ask about the starting battery level, temperature and charger power behind an advertised charging time.
- Check operator tariffs and payment methods at chargers you expect to use.
A peak power figure alone does not tell you how long an entire stop will take. During a test drive, also check visibility, parking manoeuvres, boot access and the controls you use regularly.
Compare the complete cost
Request the cash price and total financed cost separately, including deposit, instalments, final payment and linked services. Check eligibility for any grant or discount before counting it as confirmed savings.
Driver assistance cannot guarantee accident prevention. Having no tailpipe emissions does not mean manufacturing and using the vehicle have no environmental impact. Assess the car against practical needs without treating promotional promises as established facts.
