For example, you could arrange an eighties-inspired afternoon with a shared playlist and one optional accessory. This is a planning suggestion, not an activity attributed to a supplier. Anyone who would rather skip the costume should still feel welcome.
When comparing ideas, consider preparation, cost and whether people will have time to talk. Elaborate costumes can be awkward for guests travelling to Madrid that morning.
What the checked catalogues offer
Monkey Donkey and Despedidas Madrid list urban games and mystery activities, with indoor and outdoor formats. Advertised titles include KGB, Goya and Tú Sí Viajas. We have not verified an eighties karaoke party or a boat package, so neither should be assumed to be included.
The two websites show similar proposals. Check who operates and invoices each service before treating their quotes as independent alternatives.
Make the budget understandable
- Separate the activity, meal, transport and accessories.
- Explain whether the guest of honour’s share is being divided among the others.
- Agree a spending limit before anyone pays a deposit.
- Ask what happens if participant numbers change.
- Get the cancellation conditions and deadlines for each booking in writing.
Leave room in the schedule
Set a precise meeting point, nominate a contact for late arrivals and allow time between the activity and meal. Ask about duration, language, physical demands, toilets and accessibility: a game’s name cannot answer those questions. For an outdoor booking, request the organiser’s bad-weather procedure.
Consider personal boundaries too. Check before including public challenges, practical jokes or shared photographs. A memorable celebration does not require alcohol or embarrassing tasks.
Should the theme or activity come first?
Choose a format that suits the group, then add decorations and small details. That way, the occasion still works if availability changes the game you book. Keep one person responsible for the final itinerary and circulate the confirmed timings only after the supplier has accepted the reservation.
