HUAWEI Watch D2: blood pressure, battery and limitations

HUAWEI Watch D2

The HUAWEI Watch D2 warrants a careful reading of its instructions, especially if blood-pressure monitoring is your main reason for considering it. A record on your wrist is not a diagnosis. This guide checks features against Huawei Spain’s documentation; it is not a clinical test or a first-hand product review.

What 24-hour monitoring means

Huawei’s official ambulatory blood-pressure guide describes readings at intervals over a 24-hour plan, with daytime and nighttime averages. It does not measure blood pressure without interruption. Daytime readings require you to remain still and adopt the specified posture; strap fit matters too. You can save the report to discuss at an appointment.

Consider your routine before using this feature. Can you pause when a reading is due? Do you know how to fit the strap and follow the instructions? A feature available in a menu may not suit every day’s activities equally well.

Battery life and water resistance

Huawei Spain’s specifications quote up to six days of typical battery life or up to one day with ambulatory monitoring. These are laboratory results, not a promise for every user. IP68 does not mean swimming is permitted: Huawei excludes immersion and warns that protection deteriorates. The specifications list Android 8.0 or iOS 13.0 and later versions as compatible.

Compare the seller’s current price and included accessories. Do not assume an old promotion still applies. Also consider whether the charging schedule fits how you intend to use the watch.

Readings do not replace clinical assessment

Huawei’s usage warnings say not to diagnose yourself or adjust medication based on its readings. The product is intended for people over 18 and has not been validated for use in pregnancy. Read all contraindications in the guide, including those concerning wrist conditions and certain treatments. Ask your healthcare professional about suitability before use if you have doubts.

Questions to ask before choosing

  • Do I want a watch for notifications, or do I have a monitoring need to discuss with my doctor first?
  • Can I check the fit and read the instructions for the version sold in Spain?
  • Do the features I actually need work with my phone?
  • Do I understand where my data is stored and which permissions I will grant?

A sensor count does not establish a “best watch for health.” Consider buying only when its features, limitations and conditions of use fit your needs.
