A football trip to Madrid can offer more than ninety minutes in the stands. First decide whether you want to attend a match, take a stadium tour or do both. Then fit in a meal, museum or walk without turning the day into a race.
This guide replaces an old promotion for Real Madrid–Real Sociedad tickets. It does not announce a fixture date or ticket availability for that match.
Start with the match and ticket
Check the club’s calendar and sales information for the season and fixture you want. Real Madrid identifies its own website and entradas.com as official ticket channels. Start from the club’s information and confirm the opponent, competition, stadium, date and time before arranging the rest of the trip.
Keep your ticket and its conditions. For a group, check that the seats suit your plans: two available tickets do not necessarily mean two adjacent seats. Leave time for entry checks and for leaving the stadium with other supporters.
Bernabéu Tour: check your day’s route
The official Bernabéu Tour information warns that events can alter opening times and the route. It also identifies restrictions on dressing-room and dugout access on matchdays and the preceding day. Do not plan around a promise of seeing every stadium area or always finding the pitch in place.
Choose a ticket according to its inclusions and conditions. If you need an accessible route, enquire before buying; the club notes that the tour involves numerous flights of stairs.
Atleti Tour & Museum
Atlético de Madrid offers several ways to visit the Metropolitano and its museum. Compare self-guided, guided and special experiences on the official website. Their names do not imply identical routes or schedules.
The FAQ advises visitors with reduced mobility to arrange their visit in advance. Museum admission should not be confused with a ticket to watch a match.
Add food and culture without overbooking
If you enjoy art, the Prado’s visitor information explains its opening hours and timed admission. Choose a manageable route or a few galleries rather than trying to squeeze a full museum visit between two other fixed appointments.
For food ideas, explore our guide to traditional Madrid dishes and allow plenty of time before kick-off. For an Italian meal, consult the addresses and updates in our restaurant selection.
One final check
Recheck the match time and any tour notices before travelling. Put admission times, start times and journeys into your schedule separately. A good itinerary lets you enjoy each stop without needing to arrive at the exact last minute.
