Choose a specific need, such as storing tableware or creating a place to work. Look for pieces that solve that problem rather than comparing items solely because they look similar in a photograph.
Measure the room and the delivery route
Record the available width, depth and height, allowing for skirting boards, radiators and sockets. Mark out the footprint on the floor and check that doors and drawers can open. Measure entrance doors, the lift, landings and staircase turns too.

Look for specific material information
