You can send a Vinted sale from Spain without a printer when that particular order provides a digital label and tells you to hand it over using a code. A barcode on your phone or a nearby parcel shop is not enough to establish that. Check the sale, the carrier and the drop-off instructions before sealing the parcel.
This guide is for sellers shipping from Spain. Advice for a UK locker, a French parcel shop or a parcel booked directly with a carrier may describe a different service. The useful question is whether your actual order supports a digital handover.
Find the instructions for the sale you are sending
Vinted Spain’s shipping help says the label and instructions arrive in the buyer conversation and by email. Use the label supplied for that order. Its shipping details, including the carrier and printable or digital label type, cannot be changed after purchase without cancelling and placing the order again. Check the document carefully before assuming that cancellation is necessary.
Look for the action the instructions require: show a digital label, scan a code, or print and attach the label. The shape of a code does not explain its purpose. A tracking barcode might identify a parcel already in the system; it is not automatically permission to drop off an unlabelled parcel.
| What you have | What to look for | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A digital label or drop-off code | The sale says to present or scan it at an eligible point | Follow that order’s digital procedure |
| A printable PDF | The instructions require attaching it to the parcel | Arrange a clear print before handover |
| Only a tracking reference | No actual parcel admission instructions | Return to the sale and its help before travelling |
What InPost Spain’s printer-free service tells you
InPost Spain describes QR shipping through Lockers and Punto Pack shops. For that service it asks you to write the specified eight-digit tracking number on the parcel. At a Locker you scan the code; at a staffed point the person handling parcels scans it. This confirms that paper-free shipping exists in Spain. It does not establish that every Vinted label uses it.
Its printer-free parcel guide explains choosing QR for a directly booked shipment. That is a different booking from your marketplace sale; do not buy a new carrier label to replace the one Vinted supplied.
Even InPost’s Vinted page promotes printer-free shipping in its introduction while retaining a printing instruction in its FAQs. If general guidance conflicts with your document, ask the order’s support service to confirm the handover procedure before dropping it off.
Routes by Vinted Go also distinguishes printable and digital labels. Its conditions and deadlines belong to shipments booked there, rather than automatically applying to a Vinted marketplace sale.
Keep the parcel and its code together
If you have sold three similar tops, three brown envelopes can become surprisingly hard to tell apart. Finish one order at a time. Open the buyer conversation, check the item, pack it and keep that order’s code associated with it. A temporary note using your own reference can help during preparation; avoid exposing buyer information on extra notes.
Before closing the parcel, follow Vinted’s official packing advice: choose suitable strong packaging, protect the contents, remove old labels and take photographs of the item and prepared package. Carrier-specific requirements still apply. A fragile object needs different protection from a soft garment, and the chosen parcel size needs to accommodate the finished packaging.
Our guide to photographing objects with window light helps make condition details visible. Treat these pictures as a factual record: show existing marks clearly rather than editing them out. Take the inside photographs while you can still see the protective material.
A useful check before leaving home
- You have matched the open code to the correct parcel.
- The drop-off point accepts the service in this order, including sending rather than only collection.
- The packed item’s weight and size match the purchased option.
- Your phone has enough battery and displays the complete code clearly.
- You have checked the deadline in the sale and allowed time to solve a problem.
At a staffed point, complete one parcel’s registration before moving to the next. Keep its admission confirmation. If using a locker, finish the procedure displayed for that parcel rather than treating an open compartment as the whole transaction. Check the relevant confirmation before walking away.
A picture of a parcel beside a locker records a moment. It is different from the carrier confirming that the parcel has been admitted. Keep the documents associated with the sale so you can find them without scrolling through unrelated emails later.
When the code will not scan
InPost’s QR guidance recommends checking that the code is correct, showing it without cropped edges and increasing screen brightness. If the handover still cannot be registered, ask the staffed point or the support service for that shipment. Do not switch to another order’s code or leave the package without completing the official process.
If the sale provides only a printable label, arrange printing elsewhere. A copy shop may help, but check its service before travelling and keep the complete label legible. Do not assume that a parcel shop offers printing just because it accepts parcels. Follow the order’s directions for attaching the printed label.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show a printable label on my phone?
Only when that shipment explicitly accepts this procedure. Displaying a PDF is different from having a digital drop-off label.
Can I choose another carrier after the buyer pays?
Vinted says shipping details are fixed after purchase. Use the order’s help before discussing cancellation with the buyer; do not substitute a different label yourself.
Do all InPost lockers accept my Vinted parcel?
Check the locations and service allowed by the order. A nearby locker carrying the carrier’s name is not enough to confirm the particular shipment.
Should I write a number on an unlabelled parcel?
Follow the instruction for the exact service. InPost’s QR guidance specifies a tracking number; copy the required number from that shipment and keep parcels separate until registered.
