Start a Dacia Spring comparison by identifying the generation and version on offer. This page originally described an earlier model; applying those numbers to every current Spring would be misleading. We have also removed the claim that it is Europe’s cheapest electric car, which would require a dated market comparison on equivalent terms.
One name, different specifications
Dacia’s information published earlier in 2026 describes 70 hp and 100 hp versions with a 24.3 kWh battery and up to 225 km of combined WLTP range. Those figures belong to that update, not to every Spring.
On 8 September 2026, Dacia unveiled a separate second generation: a 60 kW motor, 27.5 kWh usable battery and up to 250 km WLTP range. Its announcement distinguishes standard charging equipment from an optional fast-charge package. An unveiling does not establish local stock; confirm the exact version, equipment and delivery date in the Spanish offer.
What “up to” range tells you
A homologated figure supports comparison under a common procedure. It does not promise the same distance on every journey. Consider your usual route, speed, temperature, passengers and charging opportunities. Do not compare urban-cycle and combined-cycle figures as though they measure the same use.
For a used example, include battery condition and maintenance history in your checks. The original battery size or the odometer alone cannot tell you its current usable capacity.
Ask for a clear quotation
- Exact model reference, year, trim, motor and battery.
- Cash price and, separately, the total cost of any proposed finance.
- Conditional incentives and discounts, without assuming you qualify.
- The individual car’s AC and DC charging capability, included cables and accessories.
- Delivery, warranty and servicing terms.

Does the archive image show the new model?
No. The retained grey-and-orange concept-car image is labelled as an archive illustration. Dacia introduced the Spring electric showcar in March 2020. Use the official announcement and Spanish model page linked below to check the newly unveiled generation’s appearance and equipment.
A useful final check
If a seller’s quotation, an older brochure and a current web page show different figures, ask which document applies to the specific vehicle. Resolve that difference before comparing the headline price with another electric car.
