Archive of a completed edition. This page covers Madrid’s San Isidro festivities in 2024. It is not a programme for the next celebration. The original publication date is retained, while the content has been reviewed to separate documented information from unsupported claims.

What the city documented

The municipal review published on 16 May 2024 recorded 120 activities organized across the culture department and Carabanchel district, running from 2 to 15 May. It identified the Pradera, Plaza Mayor, Las Vistillas and Matadero Madrid among the main settings.

The announcement dated 10 May described concerts, dance, theatre and traditional activities. Examples included the giants-and-bigheads parade, performances in Plaza Mayor and a verbena at Matadero. These provide a factual basis for describing a varied cultural programme without inventing a technological transformation of the festivities.

Corrections to the earlier article

The old version described augmented-reality exhibitions, virtual-reality journeys, drone shows and molecular-gastronomy experiences as features of that edition, without evidence. Those statements have been removed. The records consulted do not support presenting them as verified San Isidro 2024 activities.

We have also removed passages written as personal memories of attendance. This review draws on municipal documents rather than a visit by the author. The retained photograph shows traditional clothing, but its connection to the 2024 edition has not been confirmed.

Using an old festival programme

An archive can help you identify festival locations or find an artist from that edition. It should not be used to plan a future trip, establish current opening times or assume that another year repeats the same activities.

For a new visit, open the city’s programme for the relevant year and record each activity’s date, location, time and access conditions separately. Check the particular events you want to attend: sharing a festival name does not mean they all have the same organizer or admission arrangements.

Is this the same as the San Isidro bullfighting fair?

This page reviews the municipal cultural festivities. An event at Las Ventas needs to be checked against the venue’s own programme, rather than inferred from a calendar of concerts and street celebrations.
