1. Buitrago de Lozoya

This villa is located in the Middle Valley of Lozoya, at the foot of the port of Somosierra, in the Sierra de Guadarrama. It has one of the only walled enclosures in the entire Community of Madrid. In this incredible place you can walk through the passable areas near the wall or along the roads near the river to escape the heat of the summer season. You can also visit its best-known churches, as well as eat in its restaurants.

2. Chinchón

Every corner of this municipality in the southeast of the Community is to be admired. The most characteristic is its Plaza Mayor that was formerly a bullring and is now full of restaurants with balconies where you can eat the typical dishes of Madrid. Nor can you forget to climb its church and see the whole city from its towers.

3. Patones de Arriba

In the north of the Community of Madrid there is an idyllic landscape typical of fairy tales and that belongs to the municipality of Patones, divided into two nuclei Patones de Abajo and the incredible Patones de Arriba.

4. Miraflores de la Sierra

It is located in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, between the Sierras de Cuerda Larga and La Morcuera, and is surrounded by extensive vegetation which makes it one of the favorite places for hikers, cyclists and bikers who love the routes.

5. La Granja de San Ildefonso

This small town of Segovia is located just over an hour from Madrid and is perfect for a day trip or a weekend. There are many tourists who come every year to visit this corner full of history. Well known are its traditional beans of La Granja, as well as its roast suckling pig and lamb, a full-fledged gastronomic excursion.

6. Cercedilla

To the north of Madrid, in the center of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park and near the Port of Navacerrada is this natural place that has become one of the favorite places to enjoy rural tourism, its forests and the nearby ski slopes. A town not to be missed.

7. Brihuega

Just over an hour from Madrid, near the province of Guadalajara, we find Brihuega, the town known for its famous lavender fields. Close to the valley of the Tajuña River and known as the Garden of the Alcarria, Brihuega is rural environment along with a combination of a lot of history, villa of kings, writers and destination of cinephiles.

8. San Lorenzo del Escorial

It is located in the northwest of the Community of Madrid, in the Sierra de Guadarrama. One of the best known towns in Madrid and one of the favorite places for tourists from all over the world. Among the best known monuments, in this tourist enclave you can visit the Royal Monastery, the Casita del Príncipe, the Historic Gardens or the Museum of the Royal Coliseum Carlos III.
